--------------------------------- AN EXCELLENT JOB

Congratualtions from Wakefield are in order to Miss Ruth Hiatt of thecommercial department in the High School for the excellent conferenceof business educators conducted here Saturday. The praises for her planning and organizing of the conference, which featured a larger display of office equipment even than last fall's Eastern States Exposition in Springfield, have been long and loud from those in education circles who attended the conference.

The planning for the immense project of assembling business teachers from throughout New England began last May. The program Saturday, with top-notch speakers and something of interest and value to everyone in the world of business, whether an instructor or not, was evidence of the care and dedication which went into the project.

Wakefield was introduced to hundreds of people from many places as a community interested in modern industry, a community keeeping in step with the march of progress.

Wakefield, and its school system to some extent, was presented to several hundred people, many of whom will be seeking employees from the ranks of high school graduates. The value to the community of having the conference here hardly can be measured, but it is considerable, andMiss Hiatt's efforts were more than commendable.

------------------------------

That Miss Ruth Hiatt, commercial teacher at Wakefield High School whowas general chariman of the highly successful convention of New England Commercial Teachers held here recently, has been invited to accept the charimanship of the convention of the National Association of University Women to be held in the spring at the Hotel Statler. The convention will include about 2,000 people.

---------------------------------
